IndexNow
IndexNow is an open protocol that allows websites to instantly notify search engines about URL changes (new, updated, or deleted pages), enabling faster discovery and indexing.
Instead of waiting for crawlers to discover changes, IndexNow lets you proactively push URLs to search engines. One API call to any participating engine (Bing, Yandex, Seznam, Naver) is shared with all others. Google does not support IndexNow but has its own Indexing API.
IndexNow requires a verification key hosted on your site at `/{key}.txt`. You then POST changed URLs to `https://api.indexnow.org/indexnow` with your key. The protocol supports batch submissions of up to 10,000 URLs per request.
Indxel's Indexation Engine uses IndexNow alongside the Google Indexing API for comprehensive coverage. When you deploy, Indxel can automatically submit changed URLs to both protocols, ensuring search engines know about your updates within minutes instead of days.
