Google Search Console
Google Search Console (GSC) is a free service by Google that helps website owners monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot their site's presence in Google Search results.
Search Console is the most important SEO tool for any website. It provides first-party data directly from Google: which queries show your pages, impressions and clicks per query, indexing status for every URL, Core Web Vitals field data, mobile usability issues, and structured data validation.
Key reports: Performance (queries, CTR, average position), Index Coverage (indexed, excluded, and error pages), URL Inspection (detailed indexing status for any URL), Core Web Vitals (field data from real users), and Sitemaps (submission status and errors).
For developers, GSC is essential during and after deployment. Verify that new pages are indexed, check that robots.txt changes did not accidentally block content, and monitor for indexing errors after URL structure changes. Indxel integrates with Google's APIs to surface indexation status in the dashboard.
